The Professional Artists and Craftsmen Association connects artists, promoters and the community. The intent of PACA is to encourage fairness and feedback as a method of working with shows to produce events to suit their audiences. PACA works through the direct input of its members. With frequent newsletters, an internet forum, direct mail and on site surveys, PROMOTERS will have a way to share guidelines for enforcing rules, ask for ideas in solving complaints, and receive help with surveys and polls through our members, web site and newsletters. Attract the right artists for your shows! ARTISTS will have a voice for expressing problems and acknowledging sincerely successful show policies and will be able to convey direct consumer responses to our promoters. Here is a place where you will be heard! THE PUBLIC may appeal to PACA for wishes and worries regarding the direction taken by shows in their community, express their needs and offer ideas for attracting their support! PACA acknowledges all working artists and craftsmen, whatever their medium and price point, and emphasizes respect for the ideals of the promoter and enforcement of rules to meet those ideals. PACA does not suggest restrictions on artists in regard to methods or media, and does not advocate any of those issues as criteria for establishing show rules. We are aware of community response and show director's goals, and hope to aid in a marriage of the two which will encourage a positive result for exhibiting artists in terms of economic success and artistic satisfaction.
